The conversation clusters were a national network of 38 groups across the country that were part empowerment group, part sistercircle, and part book club. Their purpose was to foster meaningful conversation around the spiritual principles offered in Debrena's best-selling book, All the Joy You Can Stand.
NATIONAL LAUNCH OF CONVERSATION CLUSTERS
On Saturday, November 18, 2000, the national launch of the All the Joy You Can Stand Conversation Clusters occurred. The cluster kick-offs around the country were a tremendous success!! There was such a tremendous positive response to Debrena's new book that she wanted to provide a vehicle for women to be supported in applying and integrating the sacred power principles into their lives. In just a few short months, she had already received hundreds of cards, letters, and e-mails testifying to the profound affect All the Joy was having in women's lives.
So the Conversation Clusters became part sistercircle, part book club, and part empowerment group, and a way to continue the process of transformation triggered by reading the book. The Clusters convened in over 35 locations including London, England and also a virtual cluster. Some of the areas that clustered were: Dallas, TX; Detroit, MI; Atlanta/Lithonia, GA; Baltimore/Randallastown, MD; Tampa, FL; Jamaica, NY; Harlem, NY; Queens , NY; South Orange, NJ; Oakland, CA; Atlanta/Jonesboro, GA; West Haven/New Haven, Connecticut; Kalamazoo, MI; Westchester, Ohio; Beaumont/Pt. Neches, TX; Chicago, IL; Philadelphia, PA; Atlanta, GA; Seattle, WA; Atlanta, GA; Memphis, TN; Ft. Worth, TX; and London, England!!
Additional clusters added in 2001 were: Los Angeles, CA; Elizabeth, New Jersey; Chicago, Illinois; North Potomac, Maryland; Cheltenham, Maryland; Philadelphia, PA; Richmond, Virginia; Washington, D.C.; Antioch, CA; Sacramento, CA; Milwaukee, WI; and a Virtual Cluster for sistahs without a nearby cluster.
The Conversation Clusters are currently inactive, but will re-start when Debrena’s next book is released in the future.
